茶是至清至洁的灵物，泡茶所用的器皿也必须冰清玉洁。我再烫洗一遍本来就很干净的玻璃杯，即是表示对各位的尊重，也是对茶的尊重。

Tea is a spiritual item through which one becomes clean-minded; that's why the tea wares must be washed clean as jade and ice. I am rinsing these clean and spotless glasses with boiling water to show my respect for everybody present as well as for the tea you are about to drink.
